BUSINESS AUTOMATION & TOOL INTEGRATION

Connect your tools. Simplify repeat work.

If the same information keeps moving between forms, spreadsheets, and messages, that's a useful place to start. I help connect tools around a specific task, so the next step is easier to manage.

Find the handoff that needs attention.

A workflow is the route a piece of work takes: someone submits information, a record gets updated, and another person needs to know what happened. The useful starting point is often one repeated handoff.

  • Move form responses into the records you use
  • Connect a registration or inquiry form to the next step
  • Pass order details between a customer-facing form and your working records
  • Send a notification when information needs attention

What to bring to the conversation.

List the tools involved, where the information starts, and where it needs to end up. An example with made-up data is enough to show the process.

Useful questions include: Which record should be the source of truth? Who needs to review the information? What should happen when something is missing or entered twice? We'll check the available options before agreeing on the build.

A real example: Ignite registration.

For Southern Indiana Ignite, Google Forms responses sync into the program's records through an Apps Script connection. The public website brings the team information and tryout form together, while the integration handles the response handoff.

Start with one recurring task.

Tell me what you repeat and what's getting in the way. The project brief includes an optional calculator for how often the task happens and how long it takes. Those figures describe your current workload and give us something concrete to discuss.
